Bainbridge Island Museum of Art Auditorium

Concert with Tovi Newman and Jacqueline Schafer - 7-9pm

550 Winslow Way East
Price: free/donation

Jackie and Tovi recently arrived from Alaska, where they led the gypsy swing group Swing 49. Jackie’s soulful and improvisational singing charmed even the most gruff Alaskan fishermen--and the judges at the 2017 Seattle Jazz Vocalist Competition, where she was a finalist! Tovi studied classical and jazz guitar at the University of Alaska. He plays hard-swinging rhythm and lithe, playful solos--our groove has never been better than when we've had Tovi playing with us!

Reservations are highly recommended! All you need to do is email us at info@RangerSwings.com

BAC is turning 70 years old, but we have no intention of slowing down! This event, our biggest fundraiser of the year, will honor the rich, varied layers of our history while setting our sights on a vibrant future.

Taking place at the historic Kiana Lodge, our benefit auction will celebrate the power of creativity, with plenty of great food, sparkling company, and big fun. The evening’s highlights will include:

  • Live gypsy jazz by Bainbridge Island’s own Ranger and The Re-Arrangers
  • Auctioneering by emcee Andrew McMasters
  • Live and silent auctions featuring stellar experiences and one-of-a-kind works of art by BAC artists
  • In a nod to our local history, a good, old-fashioned crab feed.
